In a revealing interview on TVC TV From 5:01, Presidential Media Adviser Daniel Bwala addressed mounting political tensions while emphasizing the administration’s focus on economic management amid resource constraints.

Responding to questions about recent political controversies, including allegations from the Labour Party’s 2023 Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi and criticism from former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Bwala shifted the focus to economic realities.

“In recent times, I’ve been asked by various television stations about the progress in this administration and the claim that the progress is not moving the needle,” Bwala noted, before delving into economic fundamentals. “The whole essence of an economy is managing limited resources, addressing unlimited wants, and prioritizing goals. You can achieve only so much.”

The presidential adviser highlighted infrastructure challenges, citing expert assessments: “Economic experts reported that for Nigeria to reach its expected level as a third-world country, it must invest $10 billion annually in infrastructure alone.” He contextualized this against current fiscal constraints, noting: “President Tinubu is dealing with a budget that is only a little above $10 billion, if I’m not mistaken, for all areas.”

Emphasizing the administration’s determined focus, Bwala concluded: “Everybody can see what he (Tinubu) is doing, and he refuses to be distracted by mundane political party issues that are irrelevant at the moment.”
