Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission has taken to his official X handle to voice his displeasure over the actions of South Africans. According to his statements, he pointed out that their inability to appreciate another African cultures was an awful affliction.

The news regarding the call by South Africans to evict certain Nigerians from the country over concerns of hijacking their ancestral lands generated mixed reactions after the reports went viral across various social media platforms.

In a twist of events, many observing certain Igbo cultures were deemed to have trespassed, an act which prompted many South Africans to demand their eviction from the country.

However, Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, decried over their actions.

According to his statements, he pointed out that the lack of appreciation or interest in other African cultures as displayed by South Africans was a dangerous affliction.
