In a video posted on Aijac TV, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stark warning to the Houthi rebels, vowing decisive action alongside international allies against their threats to maritime security. In a public address, Netanyahu drew parallels between Iran’s proxy forces and the Houthi movement.
“Just as we acted forcefully against the terror arms of Iran’s axis of evil, so we will act against the Houthis,” Netanyahu declared, emphasizing that Israel was not standing alone in this confrontation. He noted that “the United States and other countries, like us, see the Houthis as a threat—not only to international shipping but also to the international order.”
The Prime Minister promised a strategic response, stating that they “will act with strength, determination, and sophistication.” While acknowledging that the campaign might be prolonged, Netanyahu expressed confidence in its eventual success, saying “even if it takes time, the outcome will be the same—just as it was with other terror arms.”
Addressing the Israeli public directly, Netanyahu called for continued vigilance and cooperation. “I ask this of you,” he stated, requesting citizens to “exercise patience, to continue demonstrating the same resilience you have shown so far, and to strictly follow the Home Front Command’s instructions.” He concluded with a reassuring message to his citizens: “You will do your part. We will do the rest.”
