The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has emphasized the importance of staying focused on delivering results despite criticism. He stated that enemies lose interest once they realize their criticism is ignored, highlighting that the best way to silence critics is by showcasing tangible achievements and performance.
He expressed satisfaction with the progress being made under his leadership, noting that public commentary, even negative, reflects the significance of his work. He advised against distractions, asserting that being talked about is a sign of relevance and importance.
He said in a live coverage by Symfoni from 9:14, “The moment your enemies see that you don’t listen to them, that you are focused on achieving results, they will get tired. But if you are distracted and worried about their criticism, then they know they’ve gotten to you. The only way you can silence your critics is to show them your results—show them your performance.
I am happy with the work we are doing. Last night, I saw people commenting on a flyer being shared about us. Some say things to distract, but the key is to stay focused. If you are not important, nobody will talk about you.”
