The Director General Of World Trade Organization, WTO, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has reacted after her name was included among the 2024 Forbes Most Powerful Women In The World.
Her reaction was contained in a post that she shared on her official X handle on Friday.
In the post that she shared on her page, she stated that she is honoured to be among the most powerful women in the world for the 8th time. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, however congratulated the President of Tanzania, Prime Minister of Democratic Republic of Congo and many other women who made the list.
Here is what she wrote on her official X handle;
“Honoured to be on the list of the 2024 Forbes 100 Most Powerful Women in the World, for the 8th time! This is an honor I do not take for granted. I wish to congratulate all my fellow women Honorees, in particular the 5 African Women on the list, H.E President Suluhu Samia of Tanzania, H.E Prime Minister Suminwa Judith of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ms Mpumi Madisa, CEO of Bidvest, and our very own Mo Abudu. Let’s hope for even more African Women next time!”.
