Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Jibrin Samuel Okutepa has reacted after seeing photo of human rights lawyer, Dele Farotimi wearing handcuffs inside the court.
The picture surfaced online after DAILY TRUST reported that a Magistrate Court in Ekiti state has granted N50 million bail to the human rights lawyer.
In the post that Jibrin Samuel Okutepa shared on his official X handle on Monday, he said it is a shame that Dele Farotimi was handcuffed.
Jibrin Samuel Okutepa stated that the action can not be tolerated or celebrated by any right thinking member of the of the legal profession.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria stated that to celebrate the act is to encourage and celebrate crooked and wicked disgrace of the nobility of the legal profession.
Here is what Jibrin Samuel Okutepa wrote on his page;
“It is a shame that Dele Farotimi was handcuffed and brought before the court today in Ekiti State for an alleged cyberstalking or criminal defamation. This action can not be celebrated and or tolerated by any right thinking member of the legal profession”.
