In a video posted on Symfoni TV from 12:11, the governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara proudly stated that civil servants in the region are content despite rumors about misallocated funds.
Fubara asserted that the government not only made promises but delivered on them, resulting in increased salaries for civil servants.
He emphasized that the government’s primary goal should be ensuring the happiness of the people, which, in this case, means improving their financial well-being, rather than simply focusing on infrastructure development.
Fubara highlighted that creating a positive impact on people’s lives is the most significant accomplishment a government can achieve.
According to Siminalayi Fubara, “Today, I can say boldly that our civil servants are happy. Even in the face of all the propaganda, that my allocation fell inside one bridge, our civil servants are happy. We were the first state not just to make the promise but to live up to that promise. Today, civil servants that were collecting N70,000 before are jubilating with N120,000 or N140,000. What is the greatest joy any government can achieve? It’s not just building projects. The most important thing is the happiness that you leave in the hearts of people, that’s the truth.”
