Crusoe Osagie, Media Adviser to former Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki, has praised his principal’s transformative leadership, asserting that Obaseki has “firmly etched his name in gold in the annals of Edo State’s history”.
According to Punch, In a statement released on Wednesday, Osagie highlighted the profound impact of Obaseki’s eight-year tenure, crediting him with reshaping Edo’s fortunes and placing the state on a path to sustainable growth and prosperity. He underscored the former governor’s dedication to bold, impactful projects that touched every corner of the state, establishing a lasting legacy.
“His Excellency, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has firmly etched his name in gold through the transformative and impactful projects that dot the nooks and crannies of Edo State,” Osagie said.
Osagie contrasted Obaseki’s administration with the current leadership under Governor Monday Okpebholo, accusing it of failing to match the former governor’s vision and accomplishments. He criticized the Okpebholo-led government for resorting to baseless allegations and propaganda in an attempt to discredit Obaseki.
“The vacuity and cluelessness of the Okpebholo administration is evident in its continuous efforts to malign a leader who genuinely transformed Edo State,” Osagie stated, adding that such tactics would not diminish Obaseki’s enduring legacy.
The media adviser praised Obaseki for championing projects that addressed critical needs, fostered development, and enhanced the lives of Edo residents. He urged the current administration to shift its focus from propaganda to meaningful governance, delivering on its promises to the people.
“Edo people are discerning and sophisticated,” Osagie concluded. “They recognize Obaseki’s achievements and will not be swayed by baseless theatrics or propaganda.”
