Comrade Zaka Nehemiah, the Coordinator of Nigeria Youth on Security and Safety Affairs (NYSSA) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has reacted to some of the comments activist and lawyer Deji Adeyanju recently made about FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.

In a video shared by Symfoni TV from 3:43, Nehemiah criticized Adeyanju for comparing himself to Wike and also for likening Wike to musician Portable on a national TV.

Nehemiah highlighted the improvements in security across the FCT’s area councils under Wike’s leadership. He said that issues like kidnapping, which were significant problems last year, have been addressed. According to him, Wike has provided substantial support to security agencies, such as distributing Hilux vehicles earlier this year to boost their operations. He also said that Wike has also focused on youth empowerment by distributing cars to young people in recent initiatives. He questioned what more critics like Adeyanju could expect from Wike, given his achievements so far.

In Nehemiah’s words: “What more do they need from Wike that Deji can come on National TV and be comparing himself with Wike, a super minister of FCT and comparing our minister to Portable. So as a youth leader or youth, we are supposed to be an advocate of development and not destructive criticism because that is what Deji is doing”
