AIG Adegoke Fayoade has shared more details about the arrest of Patrick Akpoguma, an internet fraudster who attempted to bribe police officers during his apprehension.

In a video recently shared by TVC from 5:27, Fayoade explained that the suspect often used disguises to deceive his victims. He said the suspect sometimes use mask to pose as a man named Adam Taggart to carry out his fraudulent activities.

According to Fayoade, the fraudster presented $100,000 in cash to officers in an effort to evade justice. The money consisted of 10 bundles of $100 bills, which he intended as a bribe. Fayoade highlighted that the total amount, equivalent to ₦174 million in Nigerian currency, was seized as evidence.

In Fayoade’s words: “This is the mask he wears to deceive people anytime he wants to get money from his unsuspecting victims and he claims he is Adam Taggart. The fraudster attempted to buy my men with some amount of dollars. The total amount of dollars he presented to my men is 100 thousand dollars”
