One of the chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and former Kaduna lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani has reacted after the Tinubu’s administration announced the disbursement of N50,000 to one million Nigerians.
According to PUNCH, the Federal Government on Thursday said the disbursement of N150bn loans to micro, small and medium enterprises and manufacturers would commence by the end of July.
The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Doris Uzoka-Anite, also disclosed that 60 per cent of the proposed one million beneficiaries of the Presidential Conditional Grant had received a financial grant of N50,000 without repayment obligations in the 774 local government areas of the country.
Reacting to the report, Senator Shehu Sani said giving N50,000 to one million people is not enough. In the post that he shared on his official X handle on Friday, he said the beneficiaries should be atleast 25 million people.
Here is what Senator Shehu Sani wrote on his official page;
“50k for 1 million people is not enough. The beneficiaries should be atleast 25 million people. The first priority should be people with disabilities, women and youths”……Sée Móre
