The Nigerian born scholar and Professor of Political Economy, Pat Utomi has taken to his official social media (X) handle to express his gratitude to God for still keeping him alive for the past 30 years.

Utomi, while showing gratitude to God for sparing his life, said, 33 years ago, Doctors told the Chief of Surgery at a hospital in Onitsha that they had lost him(Utomi).

“It’s 33yrs today. Last night 33 years ago Doctors told the Chief of Surgery at Boromeo hospital in Onitsha they had lost me. No pulse. No breathing. But the surgeon insisted on fighting on. He wanted at least to fulfill all righteousness…” Said Utomi.

He said further, that later, they found live and proceeded with the surgery to stem internal bleeding from an accident near Asaba, which claimed his driver.

He added that July is a month of non-stop thanksgiving in his family.
