As political realignments begin to quietly take shape ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 presidential election, Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has issued a spiritual warning to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging him to tread carefully in the face of rising opposition momentum.

In a recent video shared on Facebook, the outspoken cleric declared: “Tinubu must be very clever; they may bring Saraki, Kwankwaso, or Tambuwal as Vice President.” According to him, the emergence of a unified opposition front with any of these three northern political heavyweights could drastically alter the outcome of the next presidential election.

Ayodele revealed that spiritual insight showed a “giant” political figure — likely from the South — is gradually rising and could become the opposition’s presidential candidate. If paired with a strong vice-presidential contender from the North such as Bukola Saraki, Rabiu Kwankwaso, or Aminu Tambuwal, the coalition could present a serious threat to Tinubu’s re-election bid.

He warned that President Tinubu must not underestimate the strategic moves happening within the opposition. “This is not about politics as usual. The APC must be proactive and sensitive to what is building in the spirit and on the ground,” Ayodele said.

He added that public discontent, worsening economic conditions, and perceived lack of reforms may further weaken the ruling party’s standing unless urgent changes are made. He stressed that spiritual revelations show the APC’s popularity is on a decline, and a powerful political shift is already underway.

The cleric reiterated that he holds no personal grudge against President Tinubu but remains committed to speaking what he receives through divine insight.

Ayodele also previously stated that “Two people are going to defeat Atiku and Tinubu; one of them is coming out gradually,” hinting at behind-the-scenes political engineering that could reshape Nigeria’s power structure ahead of 2027.

With rising conversations around opposition unity and possible alliances, Ayodele’s warning serves as a reminder that the race for 2027 may not follow familiar patterns — and that President Tinubu may need more than political machinery to hold on to power.
