Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has hinted that he might change his political party soon, as reported by PREMIUM TIME.
He made the comment at a thanksgiving service held in his honour at The Apostolic Church, Maboju Assembly in Lagos State.
Governor Eno said he is unsure whether he will remain in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) or move to another party like the All Progressives Congress (APC) or the Young Progressives Party (YPP).
He explained that political parties are for convenience and public interest, but they do not define his identity.
He stressed that his focus remains on serving the people, no matter his party.
Despite these statements, the governor made it clear he is not confirming any defection at this time.
During the service, Governor Eno sang a Christian hymn that spoke about an uncertain future.
He quoted from the Bible, especially the book of James 4:14, which talks about not knowing what tomorrow holds.
He also urged the congregation not to be afraid, he said people should understand the current political season.
“I don’t know where I’ll be tomorrow, whether PDP, APC, or YPP. These are just for political convenience and enlightened state interest. But it will never define who I am,” he said.
