Dele Momodu, a close ally of the former Presidential candidate of the PDP, has advised Peter Obi not to be carried away by social media hype. Recall that Momodu had pushed for, and is still pushing for, Obi to contest as running mate to Atiku under the umbrella of the ADC. According to him, this would combine their individual supporters under one umbrella to defeat Tinubu, rather than having them run separately.
Speaking in a video from 5:28 shown by Channels TV, Momodu stated that Atiku remains the most feared name in Aso Rock. Using the analogy of a pawpaw, he explained that people throw sticks only at a pawpaw that is ripe. He urged the ADC not to waste time and further described Obi as the man for the job. Speaking about Obi, he appealed to him not to be carried away by the social media hype of his supporters ahead of the 2027 elections.
