The former governor of Anambra state and Labour Party, LP candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Peter Obi has reacted to the state of insecurity in the nation.

His statement is coming after Punch reported that 20 medical students of UNIJOS have been kidnapped.

In the post that he shared on his official X handle on Saturday, he condemned the recent kidnapping of the commissioner of Police in Anambra state and the 20 medical students.

He said when he declared war on insecurity, economy and power, some people spin his narrative while some other people complained.

The former governor of Anambra state said that In the last 24 hours, several people have been kidnapped across Nigeria. Peter Obi said that Nigerians can not continue living in fear, poverty and darkness.

“When I say we should declare war on the economy, power, and insecurity, some people spin the narrative, while others complain. But what else can we do? In the last 24 hours, several people have been kidnapped across Nigeria, including about 20 dental students from Maiduguri and Jos in Benue State. An Anambra State Commissioner and his wife were abducted in Edo State, and others travelling with them were killed”….VìêwMorê
