Jake Epelle, the Chief Executive Officer of TAF Africa, has spoken about the military regime of Muhammadu Buhari and his chief of staff, Tunde Idiagbon. Epelle said their government promoted discipline through a campaign called the War Against Indiscipline, but it also showed a serious disregard for human rights.

In an interview with Silverbird TV, Epelle said one of the most troubling events during their rule was the attempted kidnapping of Umaru Dikko, a former Minister of Transport and Aviation. He said Buhari’s government tried to secretly take Dikko out of the United Kingdom by hiding him in a container.

Epelle said this plan failed because UK security officials were alert and stepped in on time. He also said one of the people involved in stopping the abduction of Dikko later became Dikko’s wife.
