Former Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola has reacted after an interviewer Morayo Afolabi asked his wife, Abimbola Fashola, why she married an “unbeliever.”

In an interview from 4:21 on The Morayo Show, Fashola, who is a Muslim married to a Christian wife, explained that the word “unbeliever” means different things to different people, depending on their religion. He said in Islam, non-Islamic practitioners can be described as unbelievers.

Fashola also said he comes from a mixed family of Christians and Muslims and what matters most is that they all serve God.

In Fashola’s words: “The place I will like to start is you were asking my wife that she married an unbeliever, so whose belief are we talking about? And for those who care to learn, the faiths themselves because there is another version where Islam also says non-Islamic practitioners are unbelievers (sic). So whose belief are we talking about?” See_More…
