PDP Chieftain Segun Showunmi has alleged that the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike is currently in his weakest political position in decades and faces potential political annihilation if President Bola Tinubu chooses to remove him from office.

Speaking in an interview from 27:19 with Channels TV, Showunmi argued that the PDP’s decline has inadvertently weakened Wike’s political security despite his federal appointment. “Wike is not going to be a happy man if the PDP dies. I’ve never seen him so weak in my life. Wike is weak now that PDP is dying. He may not know. He may not have settled down to think about it very well. All that needs to happen is for maybe the president to wake up in the morning and take his sledgehammer, probably remove him, throw him to the EFCC, and that’s it. Who’s going to rescue him?” he said.

The PDP chieftain noted that Wike’s political value depends on maintaining a viable opposition party that could serve as alternative refuge or negotiating leverage.

According to Showunmi, without a strong PDP, Wike lacks the political insurance that previously made him formidable. He warned that the absence of credible alternative political parties creates vulnerability for all politicians, regardless of their current positions. See_More…
