Hilda Dokubo, a renowned Nollywood Actress and Rivers State politician has taken to her official X handle to react to the military deployment sent to restore peace in Benin Republic. According to the statements which were shared on her official X handle, she pointed out that while the decision to intervene was acceptable, the negligence of internal security was condemnable.
The military intervention sanctioned by president Tinubu to restore peace and democracy in Benin Republic following the failed military coup generated mixed reactions after the reports went viral across various social media platforms.
The military coup, which experienced collosal failure was orchestrated by Lieutenant Colonel Pascal Tigri. However, following the failure of the coup, the mutineer and his fleeing team were reportedly targeted by the Nigerian Air Force.
Hilda Dokubo, a renowned Nollywood Actress and Rivers State politician in a recent statement which was shared on her official X handle, faulted the decision of the Nigerian government to conduct an airstrike in Benin Republic.
According to her statements, she pointed out that while the decision to intervene militarily was acceptable, neglecting the activities of bandits and terrorists across the Nigerian forest was condemnable.
She further blamed those who stood against the help offered by the United States.

“We can send jet fighters to Benin Republic but can’t send same to Nigerian forest. It’s okay when we offer help to other nations but when we is offered us, it’s because that country is eyeing our resources…..” She wrote. View, More,
