U.S. Congressman Randy Fine has sharply criticized Democratic lawmakers following a U.S. Special Forces operation that reportedly led to the capture of what he described as “one of the world’s most dangerous career criminals and narcoterrorists.”
In a statement posted on his verified social media account, Fine praised President Donald Trump’s leadership while accusing Democrats of undermining national security for political reasons.
According to Fine, the elite military operation was executed in under three hours, showcasing what he called the effectiveness, speed, and precision of U.S. forces under Trump’s command.
He argued that rather than supporting the mission and the personnel involved, Democrats have chosen to advance a “politicized War Powers resolution,” which he said is driven solely by opposition to the president rather than concern for American safety.
Fine contrasted the operation with what he described as a record of global instability under Democratic leadership.
He pointed to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the October 7 attack on Israel by Hamas, and the proliferation of U.S.-supplied weapons into the hands of terrorist groups as evidence that Democratic foreign policy has failed to deter America’s adversaries.
In his view, these developments demonstrate weakness on the world stage and a lack of resolve in confronting hostile actors.
“The facts are clear,” Fine asserted, claiming that President Trump carried out a “flawless law enforcement operation” while Democratic lawmakers focused on issuing statements of condemnation instead of backing decisive action.
He framed the debate as one between results-driven leadership and what he characterized as political obstruction.
The Florida Republican further emphasized Trump’s long-standing foreign policy doctrine of “peace through strength,” arguing that targeted strikes and decisive operations serve as effective deterrents against terrorism and transnational crime.
