One of the chieftains of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Uche Rochas has taken to his official X account on Friday, January 16, 2026 to describe Abba Atiku Abubakar, the son of the former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Waziri Atiku Abubakar as a betrayal.
He made the statement after Abba Atiku Abubakar defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the All Progressive Congress.
According to THE CABLE, after Abba Atiku Abubakar was received by the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin and National Vice President of the APC in Northeast, Mustafa Salihu, he announced that he will be supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 General Elections.
Reacting, Uche Rochas criticized those defending Abba Atiku Abubakar for supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu against his father.
The ADC chieftain said Abba Atiku Abubakar couldn’t stand by his father at a critical time.
