A regional church chairman has accused Islamic religious leaders of remaining silent when a prominent cleric, Sheikh Yahaya Jingir publicly demanded that security forces stop arresting Fulani individuals involved in criminal activities.

Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo, Regional Chairman of Church of Christ Nations, made the allegation during an interview with News Central TV from 36:04, citing the lack of condemnation from Islamic leadership. “A known cleric—Sheikh Yahaya Jingir—came out publicly and said they should stop arresting Fulanis, and he’s the leader of Izala, the strongest sect in Islam. And all his people are allegiant to what he said. No government condemned it. No single cleric condemned him—they were silenced about it. The man was boastful. And you will say that this thing is not religion,” he stated.

The church leader extended his criticism to Islamic clerics’ response to high-profile attacks on Christian communities. “Look at the Chibok killings, No Islamic cleric condemned it. The mission of keeping Leah Sharibu in captivity is to show the world that they are in control of Christians. Nobody can do anything,” Dachomo claimed.

Reverend Dachomo described a specific massacre as evidence of genocidal intent targeting Christian populations in Plateau State. He alleged that when terrorists attacked Dogo Nahawa village, they slaughtered 501 people and deliberately left the community in ruins as a warning to survivors against rebuilding. View, More,
