Shehu Sani, a renowned human rights activist and former Kaduna central senatorial district lawmaker has taken to his official X handle to react to viral reports of the presence of United States military in Nigeria. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he cautioned against impatient and hasty conclusions.
The news regarding the presence of United States military troops in Nigeria generated mixed reactions from different quarters after the reports went viral across various social media platforms.
This came following renewed efforts by the Nigerian government and president Donald Trump’s administration to completely eradicate terrorist activities in Nigeria.
It can be recalled that on December, the United States military carried out an airstrike on terrorist enclaves in Sokoto State, taking out several terrorists and pledging to sustain the offensive if the activities of the deadly groups continued.
Reacting, Shehu Sani, a respected human rights activist and former federal lawmaker in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, however, cautioned against impatience and hasty conclusions.
According to his statements, he advised both supporters and critics of the United States military actions in Nigeria to be well informed before making comments.
He further pointed out that toxic or negative comments regarding the military actions should be censored.
