One of the chieftains of the All Progressive Congress, APC and former Kaduna lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has taken to his official X account on January 19, 2026 to react after the governor of Kano state, Abba Kabir Yusuf visited the Presidential Villa at the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Abuja.
According to the post that Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Information and Strategy shared on his official page, the Kano state governor visited the President and held a closed door meeting with him.
Reacting to the report, Senator Shehu Sani said defections in all states have been smooth except that of Kano state.
He made the statement after some governors under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP joined the All Progressive Congress.
According to Senator Shehu Sani on his official X account;
