Datti Baba Ahmed, former vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has stated that he carefully listened to Peter Obi’s speech on December 31, 2025. He said he did not hear Obi specifically say that he has joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC) party.
In an interview from 6:40 hosted by PDP chieftain Dickson Iroegbu on Nigeria Right Now, Ahmed said Peter Obi is very smart person. He stated that if for Obi to leave the Labour Party he has to submit a resignation letter and return his membership card, because that is the proper procedure. He said people should go and check whether Obi has done that before concluding that he has joined the ADC
