In an interview from 36:35 with Atlanta Discuss Channel, Utomi said that during Obi’s time as governor, he was invited to give a lecture at a bank in Anambra, and Obi was present. He said a few days later, Obi called him and shared an experience he had at the airport.

Utomi said Obi told him that someone walked up to him at Abuja airport and criticized him harshly for his humble appearance. Utomi said what makes him admire Obi is his humble and disciplined behavior

In Utomi’s words: “Obi said, ‘Senior, you are not going to believe what has just happened to me’. I said what? He said somebody walked up to him at the airport and said ‘You are spoiling this governorship, look at you walking like an orphan carrying your basket, a whole governor’ at Abuja airport. So it is things like that that makes me think that his personal discipline would make for the beginning of that new Nigeria that we need” See More
