Nosa Adams, former chairman of Egor Local Government Area in Edo State has accused the state governor, Godwin Obaseki of attempting to undermine democracy and disobey a court judgment. In an interview with TVC News from 5:40, the lawyer and former chairman alleged that the governor is preparing a group of people to attack the deputy governor and his associates.

According to the former chairman, the governor is trying to create chaos in the state because he refuses to accept the court’s decision to reinstate the deputy governor. He stated that the governor wants to impose his own will on the state and is willing to disrupt peace and tranquility to achieve his goals.

The former chairman criticized the governor’s actions, stating that democracy cannot be operated in such a manner. He emphasized that the rule of law must be respected and that the governor’s behavior is unacceptable.

In his words;

“What the Governor is doing is to be preparing people that will attack the deputy Governor, preparing people that will attack those that are associated with the Deputy Governor, because he doesn’t want to obey the judgement of the Court. As far as he’s concerned, he either go his way or there won’t be peace and tranquility in Edo State. As far as he’s concerned, everything that must be done must be such that it must please his whims and caprices, must please all that he wants to do in Edo State and we don’t operate democracy like that”
