According to a report from 1:30 by Channels TV, on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) intensifies its investigations into former high-ranking officials of the previous administration, Alwan Hassan, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has dropped a bombshell.
He claimed that the late former President Muhammadu Buhari had warned his cabinet members that a day of reckoning would come.
Speaking on the ongoing probes including the recent detention of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami Hassan asserted that the former President was well aware of the activities within his government.
“You heard what people are saying from yesterday I think on Malami and others that the former late president Muhammad Buhari said to them that everyone should hold his documents because there will come a day when you’ll be asked to to to explain yourself.”
Hassan suggested that Buhari’s reported advice for ministers to hold their documents was a clear indication that the former President anticipated future scrutiny and did not intend to shield anyone from accountability.
“He has he has he has told them why because maybe he has seen what they are doing. 95% of the people that have served on should be in jail today.” View, More,
