In a recent interview captured on AIT Live News from 01:29, former Abia State Governor Orji Kalu spoke on the United States’ potential involvement in assisting Nigeria with its fight against terrorism.
Kalu stated that, “I’ve spoken to about 16 senators in the US Congress. So, they’ve all said we will help you people.”
Kalu, who also served as a former Senate Whip, said he had engaged multiple US lawmakers to advocate for support in Nigeria’s ongoing counterterrorism initiatives. He emphasized that these discussions were aimed at ensuring actionable cooperation rather than mere rhetoric.
