According to a report by The Times Of Israel on Monday, December 22, 2025, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel is monitoring recent military “exercises” carried out by Iran and is making preparations in response, stressing that Tehran’s nuclear activities will be a central topic in upcoming discussions with US President Donald Trump.

Speaking at a press conference in Jerusalem alongside the leaders of Greece and Cyprus, Netanyahu said Israeli defense and intelligence agencies were closely tracking developments in Iran amid heightened regional tensions.
