In a recent video from 00:30 on YouTube, Prophet Joshua Iginla has said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s emergence as Nigeria’s leader was the result of long-term vision, sacrifice, and deliberate political choices, not coincidence.
Speaking during a sermon, Iginla highlighted Tinubu’s years of service and mentorship within Nigeria’s political space, noting that the president consistently focused on his ultimate goal rather than settling for interim positions.
“Tinubu has served a lot, promoted a lot of people; governments were coming in,” Iginla said. “He had a right to become any minister. He refused.”
According to the cleric, Tinubu intentionally declined ministerial appointments because he was focused on a bigger objective.
“He said, ‘I don’t want to be any minister. This is my target. All of you go there. Go and work for me. When it’s time, all of you in turn support me,’” Iginla stated.
The prophet used Tinubu’s political journey to emphasize the importance of vision and strategic planning in leadership and personal development. He stressed that many people fail not because of lack of opportunity, but because they lack clarity about what they truly want to become.
“You must have a vision of what you want to become,” Iginla said, urging his audience to define their goals clearly and pursue them with discipline and patience.
He explained that leadership requires the ability to delay gratification and empower others, adding that Tinubu’s decision to support and promote others over the years helped build loyalty and strong political structures.
Iginla noted that success in politics, business, or ministry often follows years of unseen preparation and intentional sacrifice. He encouraged Nigerians, especially young people, to learn from such examples by staying committed to their long-term goals rather than being distracted by short-term gains. View, More,
