Dr. Yahuza Getso, a renowned intelligence and security expert, has stated that notorious bandit leader Bello Turji is not in hiding and could be apprehended within 24 hours if the Nigerian government were truly committed to his arrest. He said he has personally provided actionable intelligence on Turji’s whereabouts, but the authorities have failed to act.
In a report by CHANNELS TV on Monday, December 15, 2025, Dr. Getso expressed deep frustration over what he described as the government’s lack of seriousness in tackling insecurity. He questioned the sincerity of the authorities in labeling Turji as “most wanted” when, according to him, the bandit leader is not even in a hideout.
Dr. Getso said he has repeatedly offered information that could have led to Turji’s capture, but the government has not demonstrated the political will to follow through. He said the failure to arrest Turji reflects a broader issue of weak governance and poor accountability in Nigeria’s security operations.
He said, “I don’t believe that Bello Turji is the most wanted because he is not in any hideout. Times without number, I have provided information that would have aided in capturing Bello Turji long ago, but they have never been serious about it.” View, More,
