Chidi Odinkalu, a lawyer and political analyst, has reacted to reports that Nollywood actor, Stanley Amandi, was arrested alongside serving military officers who planned to overthrow President Bola Tinubu’s government
During the 90 Minutes Africa programme on Iroko Post TV from 25:41, Odinkalu stated that the allegation that Amandi is part of the coup plotters raises serious questions that need proper explanation.
Odinkalu said it is difficult to understand how an actor from Enugu State could be selected as a propagandist for a coup plot against a president from the South-West, when the alleged masterminds of the coup are from the northern parts of the country.
