Senator Shehu Sani, a renowned human rights activist and former Kaduna central senatorial district lawmaker has taken to his official X handle to voice his displeasure over the antics of those who criticized the presidential ambition of erstwhile Labour Party vice presidential candidate, Datti Baba-Ahmed. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that their action was unfortunate.
The former vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Datti Baba-Ahmed was recently on the spotlight after he declared his intention to contest the 2027 presidential election.
Datti Baba-Ahmed, it can be recalled, rose to national reckoning after he contested the 2023 presidential election alongside the former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi.
His comments, which garnered widespread traction across various social media platforms however, sparked diverse reactions as many faulted his political decisions.
Reacting, Senator Shehu Sani, a renowned human rights activist and former federal lawmaker in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, slammed the antics of those against Datti’s ambitions.
According to his statements, he described their actions as unfortunate, and pointed out that the inability of the masses to tolerate contrary opinions was alarming.

“The former supporters of Datti Ahmed now attacking him for simply saying he is contesting for Presidency is unfortunate. How can people hold government to account for freedom of expression and political participation when people are intolerant and hostile to contrary opinions?” He asked. See More
