Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a strong warning to opposition political figures, urging them to abandon any ambitions of unseating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

In a Facebook post that has since generated widespread reactions across social media, Igbokwe dismissed the prospects of prominent opposition figures such as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party’s Peter Obi, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, and others. The outspoken APC stalwart argued that President Tinubu’s deep-rooted influence in Nigeria’s political landscape, coupled with his strategic experience and control of political structures, places him far ahead of any potential challengers. He suggested that opposition leaders are underestimating Tinubu’s political strength and organizational capacity by already positioning themselves for the next election cycle.
