According to a post on Dele Momodu official Instagram page on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, ADC Chieftain and publisher of Ovation International, Chief Dele Momodu, has joined the growing list of public figures condemning the actions of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, following his confrontation with a Nigerian Army officer in Abuja.

The comment came shortly after human rights activist Deji Adeyanju released a video condemning the minister’s verbal exchange with an army officer. Dele Momodu shared the video of Deji Adeyanju’s speech and reacted to it, Momodu cited the minister’s alleged “anger issues” and accused him of exhibiting traits of “a Messianic complex.” He referenced a biblical warning, writing, “He who the gods want to destroy, they first make mad…” and revealed that he had previously cautioned Wike about his temperament.

“I had warned Minister Nyesom Wike endlessly about his lack of anger management but he never worked on himself. Too much alcohol is also not good for him physically, mentally, and spiritually. It is the reason for his Messianic complex,” Momodu stated. The veteran journalist described Wike’s attitude as self-destructive, saying, “When anyone has found favour and mercy in the Lord, he should learn not to play God.”

Momodu further accused the minister of mismanaging the affairs of the FCT. “Wike has wreaked enough havoc in Abuja with his penchant for land-grabbing and primitive accumulation of wealth, actually intoxicating him more than his alcoholism,” he alleged. He concluded by calling for compassion but insisted that Wike required urgent intervention. “He deserves the President’s pity and prayers, and an urgent therapy in a rehab. What a tragic hero,” Momodu wrote. View, More,
