Major General John Enenche (rtd), has stated that the federal government needs to do more to take care of both serving and retired military personnel
In a video from 5:17 shared by Arise TV, General Enenche said the pensions for retired military personnel are too small to meet their basic needs. He said 30 thousand naira was recently added to his monthly pension, which is just about one thousand naira per day.
General Enenche said the cost of living has increased dramatically, with prices rising by more than 100%. He said this makes it very hard for retirees to manage on their small pensions.
