Nigerian politician and one of the chieftains of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Uche Rochas has stated that the former governor of Anambra state and Labour Party, LP, candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Peter Gregory Obi is the most popular politician in the Southeast region of Nigeria.
This statement was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on on January 2, 2026.
He made the statement after the former governor of Anambra state announced that he has officially moved into the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
In the statement that Uche Rochas shared on his page, he said the Southeast region is solidly behind the former governor of Anambra state and the region will render maximum support to him.
He said Peter Obi was misunderstood before but now they have understood him better.
