Former Minister of Communications, Abdur-Raheem Adebayo Shittu, has stated that he is no longer interested in active politics, citing disappointment with developments within the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking during an interview from 17:12 on SYMFONI TV on Sunday, May 24, 2026, Shittu said he now intends to focus on Islamic Da’wah and religious service.

He explained that his experiences in the political space made him reconsider his priorities, adding that the level of effort and commitment invested in politics could be more rewarding if directed toward serving God and humanity.

According to Shittu, the current state of affairs within the APC left him discouraged and disillusioned about continuing his political journey.

“I mean, I’m no more interested in politics. If you may appreciate, I want to do Islamic Da’wah now because the effort we put into politics, if you put half or a quarter of it into God’s work, one will certainly be better compensated.”….Read_More…
