In a recent video on Facebook from 04:36, Primate Elijah Ayodele has released new prophecies touching on Africa’s financial sector and political developments, predicting significant rebranding moves among Nigerian banks in 2026 and issuing a stern warning to the president of Malawi.

Speaking during a prophetic address, Ayodele said several Nigerian banks will undergo structural and branding changes next year. According to him, name changes, mergers, and logo redesigns may sweep across the financial sector. “Some banks’ names will be changed next year 2026,” he prophesied. “You will see that maybe they have to readjust or they even change, reshape.”

He made special reference to one of Nigeria’s oldest institutions, First Bank, noting that the brand may refresh its identity. “Like First Bank, they will reshape their logo. It’s either they readjust it or they add something to it or they add something to their name—something of that,” Ayodele said.

Financial analysts have previously hinted at increased restructuring in the banking sector driven by recapitalization requirements, mergers, and evolving digital competition. Ayodele’s prophecy adds a spiritual dimension to the ongoing discussions on the future of Nigerian banking.

Turning to international politics, the cleric issued a caution to the president of Malawi. He warned that the leadership may be tempted to align too closely with a former president, describing it as a risky political move. “Malawi president, don’t prop your former president,” Ayodele declared.

He further predicted that the Malawian government may introduce controversial measures that could trigger public dissatisfaction. “You are going to take some unpopular policies,” he said, urging the administration to tread carefully to avoid social and political instability. View, More,
