Elderstateman and Rivers State politician, Atedo Peterside recently reacted after the former governor of Rivers State and FCT minister, Nyesom Wike was involved in an altercation with a young armed soldier identified as AM Yarima. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he asked who exhibited more calmness and maturity.
It was no longer news that the confrontation between the former governor of Rivers State and FCT minister, Nyesom Wike and a young military personnel, AM Yarima at the federal capital territory, Abuja generated mixed reactions after the reports went viral across various social media platforms.
The encounter which occurred as a result of a minor misunderstanding between officials of the FCTA and armed military officers escalated after in an attempt to dissuade and douse tensions, the FCT minister met resistance from the young Yarima.
Reacting, Atedo Peterside, an Elderstateman and Rivers State politician in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle on Wednesday November 12th 2025, asked a curious question that threw the social media space into frenzy.
According to his statements, he asked who amongst the former Rivers State governor and the young soldier, exhibited more calmness and maturity.
The question asked by the Elderstateman, while rhetoric, underscores the reality that age might have little impact when in the face of provocation.
