According to a report by Vanguard, as political machinations for the 2027 general elections intensify, prominent elder statesman and political figure from Kano State, Alhaji Tanko Yakassai, has issued a powerful statement, asserting that the Northern region will once again prove its political influence through its massive voting strength.
Speaking at a recent political event in Akure, Ondo State, Yakassai reiterated the unwavering backing of key northern leaders for the incumbent government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
His declaration is a critical reminder to all political stakeholders—both in the ruling party and the opposition—that the Northern voting bloc remains the single most decisive factor in Nigerian presidential elections.
